Guild Raffle Quilt on Display

Today I stopped at the quilt shop before going to the guild meeting and was greeted by our raffle quilt on display.

There’s still time to get your raffle tickets for this beauty. There’s some at Majestic Touch in St. Agatha or any member, including me. Also, we will be selling tickets; $1.00 each or $5.00 for a book of six; at our Quilt Show August 11-12, 2023 at Daigle’s Furniture and Appliance Store in Madawaska during the Acadian Festival.

Save the Date

At the meeting, one member passed out a flyer for next year’s Maine State Quilt Show. They already have a theme, ‘Mariner’s Compass, All Points Lead to Maine.’ They have presenter’s lined up to coordinate their workshops with the theme. Mark your calendar today and plan to attend, I think you’ll enjoy it.

The President showed us her quilted sneakers she made during a quilt along. She bought a kit that included the sole and eyelets from sneakerkit.com. She had some fabric in her stash and you quilt the fabric with any quilting you like. The hardest part was sewing the quilted fabric to the sole. She also made the laces after watching a YouTube video. On her way to the Quilt Show in Augusta, they were a big hit with everyone she met.

Sew & Tell

This woman showed her table topper’s that are reversible.

This lady showed a runner and an Acadian flag she’s been making for the festival. If you come to the show, you’ll see see the flags she’s made hanging on Main Street.

Next, a sampler quilt with favorite blocks and hand tied. The other was using black and whites sewn together to look woven.

My friend that housed me wayyy back when I slipped on the ice, showed this fun bookworm baby quilt and her version of our Mystery Quilt project.

This woman showed her Mystery Quilt, a Bargello, a the front and back of a Bargello she made from fabrics she got on sale. Gotta love a good bargain!!

This lady showed a mini wall hanging and a set of placemats she won in a raffle. She made the sunflower quilt for her daughter.

The last Sew & Tell for the day, this lady showed the ribbon she received for her quilt in the State Show. Then a quilt called, ‘Ladders and Rails.’

This woman didn’t show us anything, however she had this gorgeous bag.
