The Coffee Break

Proverbs 5:15 Drink water from your own cistern, And fresh water from your own well.

The next day I went to see what was happening at the land and take the gang a coffee break. When I got there the well drilling guys had just arrived. Estey Water Wells from Mapleton.

The living room and openings for windows beginning to take shape.

A quick look at the plans to see the windows.

Stabilizing. A friend of the kids taking on an apprenticeship!!

Time for the coffee break. I made gingerbread cake like Gram used to bring us out in the potato fields. For convenience, I bought a can of whipped cream. Who knew whipped cream would ever come in a can?!? Anyway, it works in a pinch and was pretty convenient.

Next stop, Dunkinā€™ Donuts for a Box Oā€™ Joe. Except that in one of my past jobs where the boss didnā€™t know how to make coffee and always would buy a Box Oā€™ Joe, I never would have heard of such a thing.

The morning had started off quite chilly. It warmed up some and was pretty windy. We sat in the dining room, enjoyed the company as the coffee and gingerbread hit the spot.

Resting out of the wind. The logs are rated R-20.

Back to work hammering the 10ā€ spikes in.

John 4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.ā€

The well drilling was still going on as I was leaving.

Some more members of the gang arrived. I bet most soccer players donā€™t build log homes before their games.

The kids were still on harvest break but had games on the schedule.

On my way home, this buggy has the hard top on the wagon.

Coronavirus updates.
